Brandy Butter for Plum Puddings

Ingredients:
4 oz. butter
2 tablespoons ground almonds (1 drop of almond essence can be used instead of ground almonds)
4 oz. sugar
1 tablespoon brandy

Preparation Instructions

Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl and then gradually beat in the brandy and the ground almonds.  Put into a serving dish and refrigerate until required.  This saunce can be served with any kind of steamed plum or fruit pudding.  Serve the pudding warm and the butter brandy will melt over it.
